Company Profile: Lexus – Marketing History
In this week’s blog post, I will be covering the history behind one of my favourite car brands and just what it took for them to position themselves in the automotive industry the way they have. That’s right, I’m talking about Lexus. So I think the best way to start this week’s post, is to venture a little into the history of the Lexus car company. Lexus was established in 1983, around the same time as its Japanese rivals, Honda and Nissan created their luxury divisions, Acura and Infiniti. Owned and operated under the Toyota Motor Corporation, Lexus cars were originally manufactured in Japan. It was only recently (in 2003)…

Friday Feature: 2023 Jaguar F Type
We made it to another Friday Feature and this week’s edition is a real looker, if I do say so myself. In this week’s blog post, we will be covering the ins and outs of the 2023 Jaguar F Type – the true definition of a luxury sports car. The price range for this vehicle is a little surprising to me, given the fact the price seems a little low (in my opinion for a base model under the Jaguar name), starting at $87,200 and going all the way up to $124,000 for the highest model in the group. In terms of which one is best to buy? I personally…

The Fast and The Furious movie series started all the way back in 2001 and is still very popular today. In this week’s blog post, we will be covering 5 of the most iconic cars ever featured in this movie, and although Paul Walker’s 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 may have taken the title, there are some more that follow not that far behind. 1 – 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R This seemed like the only real way to start this blog post, not only as a way to pay tribute to the late great Paul Walker but also because why not start with the best of all time? (even if…

Friday Feature: 2023 Alpine A110 R
Alpine is a brand that many people might not know and for good reason. It is not found (or sold) in North America and has all ties leading back to France. In this week’s blog post, we will explore a little history of the Alpine car company and learn about the car that saw the most success from its introduction, the A110 R. Throwing It All the Way Back to WWII – Alpine Company History Alpine is a sporting brand created by Jean Rédélé – a young man with a huge interest in motorsport, in 1955. The inspiration behind the name came from Jean’s favourite playground – the Alps and…

February Spotlight: 2023 Toyota GR86
It may have taken Toyota a 2nd chance to redeem themselves with this car, but this version definitely deserves the ‘Most Improved Sports Car of the Year’ award. The 2023 Toyota GR86 was introduced to fix the problem of the original model (Toyota 86) – a weak engine. This version is powered by a 228-horsepower flat-four engine and comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission although a six-speed automatic transmission is available. A flat-four engine (also known as a horizontally-opposed 4 engine), is exactly what it sounds like – a flat engine with 4 cylinders arranged horizontally in two banks on each side of the crankcase. The pistons are normally…
